The Advisory Board (SVA)
The advisory board acts as an independent third body and checks the results of the product group forum. As a neutral body, it intervenes with conflicts of interests.
When checking the product category rules (PCR), they guarantee, above all, their completeness in regards to the most significant environmental effects of the respective product group. Consistency between the product groups and the integration of different interested parties are futher spects of the checking process.
As soon as the environmetal product categories are available based on existing PCR documents, the committee of experts organises for them to be checked for completeness, plausibility and the fulfilment of the demands on the data quality. The check takes place by a member of the advisory board or by experts who are called in.
The tasks of the advisory board are laid down in the rules of procedure.
